Configuration Tuning for Performance Issues ?

Hello,

I have serious problems on performance of PM recently.
In the wiki its mentioned that "Larger implementations may require some configuration tuning to perform optimally."
I believe its quite large implementation which we are trying to run ,
So what kind of configuration tuning are those , does anybody have an idea ?

I could use any help about the performance please.

I did not find the right solution from the internet.
