If you’ve spent any time pushing deep into Black Ops 7’s toughest zones, you’ve probably noticed that your usual guns start feeling a bit weak, and that’s usually when people begin looking into CoD BO7 Bot Lobby runs or anything that makes the grind smoother. Exotic Weapons step in at that point. They’re not just upgraded Legendaries; they behave like a whole new class of gear. The wild part is how unpredictable they are. Each drop comes with its own strange perk mix, so you can’t just grab one and sprint off. You actually need to pause and see what you rolled, because one version might work great for quick flanks while another feels built for a slower, more controlled fight.
Finding Exotic Weapons
You’ll usually start hunting for Exotics once you’re confident enough to step into Zone 4, which is a pretty rough area if you’re not ready for it. The caches around there can be generous, but you still have to move carefully because the whole place hits harder than anything earlier in the run. Most players poke around the main paths first, then sweep off to the edges where the better chests tend to hide.
Why Elite Enemies Matter
Once you’re in Zone 4, the quickest way to build up a stash is taking down Elite Enemies. They’re tough, but the drop rate is good enough that you can get lucky and walk away with two Exotics from the same fight. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s enough to keep people farming them instead of just sprinting to the exit.
The Dr. Falkner Fight
There’s also Dr. Falkner on the southern island, and players talk about him like he’s some sort of loot jackpot for a reason. The fight is messy and drags on if your squad isn’t prepared, but once he drops, you can walk out with way more than you expected. Most teams won’t go out of their way for him unless they’re feeling confident or already loaded up on ammo and plates.
Picking the Right Exotic for Your Style
The tricky part is that you can only equip one Exotic at a time, which forces you to slow down and think about what you actually want from your kit. A strong Exotic AR works for most situations, but people keep shifting toward Exotic Launchers because of how fast they burn down bosses. If you’re stuck on any big health sponge fights, that’s usually the way to go.
Playing Smart After You Get One
Once you’ve got an Exotic you like, the real challenge is keeping it. These guns stay with your operator until you fail an extraction, so every risky push suddenly matters a lot more. It’s tempting to keep testing them out, but most players start playing safer once they land a good roll, especially if they didn’t get it from a buy BO7 Bot Lobby run.
