The Gold Frame system is a smart little addition, especially for anyone with messy duplicate piles. Once you own 10 copies of the same card, the Gold Frame unlocks on that card. Better still, it works retroactively, so plenty of players will log in and find rewards waiting for them. You can also craft frames by spending duplicates through the menu, which gives bulk cards a bit more purpose. Alongside that, the anniversary missions are worth doing. The free Fire-type Elite Deck with Mega Charizard Y ex is a nice pull for newer players, while Zygarde ex, Treecko, and Gallade promos give regulars another reason to keep checking events.
How the early meta feels right now
Lucario decks want to move quickly, but not recklessly. Hitmontop has been a handy opener because it can spread damage while Riolu waits on the bench.
