That gives players a limited window to decide how they want to approach their remaining Caravan objectives.
If you have enough time to finish everything, completing the Expedition is still the best outcome. However, players who cannot complete every objective do not have to assume their unfinished progress will disappear completely.
That is where Ermal Vouchers come into play.
What Happens to Unfinished Caravan Progress
When Expedition 5 ends, all player Caravans will reset. Any partially completed Caravan progress will automatically be converted into Ermal Vouchers based on its value.
There is no manual activation involved. Players do not need to claim the conversion before the deadline or find a special menu to transfer their progress.
This makes the system fairly straightforward. Continue playing normally, make as much Caravan progress as possible, and if something remains unfinished when the Expedition closes, that remaining value is converted automatically.

How Ermal Vouchers Can Be Used
Once your Caravan progress has been converted, the vouchers can be used with Ermal of the Nomadic Envoys.
One option is to spend them through Ermal's customized trade offers. These can include gear, ARC Parts, and firearms. This route is useful for players who would rather turn their preserved Caravan value into practical equipment or resources for future runs.
The other option is to sell the vouchers directly to vendors in exchange for Coin.
Neither option is automatically better. It depends on what your account needs when the conversion takes place. Someone who is still putting together useful loadouts may get more value from Ermal's trade offers, while a player with enough equipment may prefer the flexibility of Coin.
It is worth checking your inventory and current needs before deciding how to use the vouchers.
The Reset Does Not Erase Everything
The Caravan reset sounds significant, but not every benefit disappears.
Earned consecutive buffs will persist through the Expedition pause. This means players do not lose those accumulated benefits simply because the Caravan system is temporarily unavailable.
There is also a more valuable permanent reward for players willing to complete the full Expedition journey.
If you complete all five Expeditions before September 29, the Zenith Outfit will remain permanently unlocked on your account. That makes full completion much more meaningful than simply accumulating vouchers from unfinished progress.
A Sensible Strategy for the Final Weeks
The easiest approach is to check your Caravan progress and decide whether full completion is realistic. If you are already close, focus on the remaining objectives and aim for the Zenith Outfit.
If you are far behind, there is no reason to panic. Keep making useful progress and let the automatic voucher conversion preserve the value of what remains unfinished.
The Trials schedule is also slightly different, with the current season ending on September 22 and returning on October 8. Keeping these dates separate can help prevent confusion when planning your remaining play sessions.
Making the Most of the Reset
For players who have built up valuable resources but know they cannot finish every Caravan objective, ARC Items for sale can also be worth considering when planning how to replace or supplement gear after the reset. The key is to focus on what your account actually needs instead of rushing into trades simply because the Expedition deadline is approaching.
Ultimately, Ermal Vouchers make the Caravan reset much less punishing. Finish as much as possible, secure the Zenith Outfit if you can, and let the voucher system preserve the value of unfinished progress.
