ARC Raiders Patch 1.20.0 brings a set of focused tweaks and improvements that make combat feel smoother, fix some long-standing annoyances, and add a bit of visual flair. It's a smaller update compared to seasonal drops, but it hits areas that players have been asking to see rebalanced. Instead of new modes or big systems, the patch is mostly about refining what's already there, so positioning, cover, and timing matter more in every fight.
One of the biggest changes affects the Il Toro shotgun. Pellet damage has been lowered slightly, the base fire rate reduced, and dispersion widened, making it less forgiving at range and more dependent on good positioning. Reload times have been increased, discouraging spam-and-rush tactics and encouraging more careful engagement. Falloff damage has also been raised, so the weapon now performs best at close to mid-range instead of being effective at any distance.
The update also brings a variety of quality-of-life and stability fixes. An audio bug that caused lingering sounds from destroyed Comets and Fireballs has been resolved, so the soundscape feels cleaner during fights. Collision issues that could push players through walls or trap them in certain zones have been fixed, along with geometry tweaks in spots like the east elevator and under pipes on Spaceport. These may seem minor, but they remove awkward moments that could disrupt a smooth run or ranked match.
On the cosmetic side, the patch adds the Rawhide Outfit and two new haircuts, giving players more ways to customize their raiders. The Rawhide set has a rugged, frontier-style look that fits the post-apocalyptic theme, while the haircuts provide variety without changing character archetypes. These additions are mainly for style, but they let players stand out more in both PvE and PvP.
The in-game economy also received a small adjustment. Energy Clips now sell for 200 Coins instead of 1,000, bringing their value more in line with other crafted materials. This keeps crafting and trading balanced, preventing clips from becoming an over-profitable shortcut while still rewarding players for converting energy into usable items.
Patch 1.20.0 is a mid-cycle polish. Tightening the Il Toro, fixing audio and collision problems, and adding cosmetic options all help the game feel smoother and more deliberate without slowing the pace. For veterans who focus on specific weapons and maps, the changes are noticeable but not disruptive, while those who enjoy customization have a few new ways to experiment.
