If the round takes too long to travel, the target has already slid, bunny-hopped, or just lagged out of your crosshair. Throw on the longest barrel you have unlocked, plus a muzzle that boosts range and velocity like the Extended Bolt Carrier Group, and suddenly your shots feel more like a laser. A 4x optic is usually enough, but if enemies blend into the background or smoke spam gets annoying, a thermal scope can save your sanity. Perks matter too; something like Thermal Camera helps you pick up heat signatures way quicker, which turns distant silhouettes into free kills.
When You Want Pure Chaos
Standard 6v6 can feel sweaty or just too slow when you only care about longshots, so a lot of players jump into 20v20 Skirmish instead. It is messy, spawns flip non-stop, and people stop playing careful because there is action everywhere. That chaos actually makes longshots easier, since you can sit on the edge of the map, watch busy lanes, and farm players sprinting back to the fight.
